About me
Sameer bridges the critical gap between infrastructure engineering and security operations. He holds a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity from Purdue University and is currently a Systems Engineer II working his way towards a Cybersecurity Analyst I position at an MSSP, where he supports and secures environments across dozens of client organizations. During his time in IT operations, he led security-focused initiatives, including the deployment of AutoElevate across 500+ endpoints to enforce least privilege and the migration of 150+ users from FTP to SFTP in alignment with NIST standards. This put him directly at the intersection of IT operations and security defense. Holding CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft certifications, Sameer brings a practitioner's perspective on the operational blind spots that emerge when sysadmin and SOC teams operate in silos, and what it actually costs organizations when those gaps go unaddressed.
